Routing Supervisor

The Routing Supervisor is responsible for managing the day to day routing operations of all orders to distribution center customers. The position will analyze past and current routing to develop efficient and cost effective routing solutions utilizing UNFI's routing system (Roadnet).
  • Responsible for efficient processing of daily routes and special deliveries utilizing Roadnet
  • Maintain customer profiles in Roadnet, Peoplenet and WMS (UBS, WBS, and Manhattan).
  • Develop, implement and monitor management reports that measure the cost effectiveness of the routing
  • Performs post route analysis and compares Roadnet plan to actual, using the results as the basis for coaching sessions with drivers
  • Monitor driver metrics in fleet/occupational safety, delivery accuracy, route effectiveness, DOT compliance and provide superior customer service
  • Verify all new accounts and determine best routing days and routes
  • Perform route analysis on all current and past routes to optimize routes, miles and fleet
  • Track analysis and results and provide savings to transportation manager
  • Develop initiatives to identify and maximize backhaul opportunities
  • Supervise assigned staff in the performance of their duties including scheduling, training and development. Ensure employees are performing their duties in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure all routing is DOT compliant
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills
  • Associates degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
Required Knowledge:
  • Excellent working knowledge of Roadnet
  • Strong working knowledge of DOT regulations
Experience Required:
  • 4 or more years transportation experience with strong background in routing preferably in a multiple stop dispatch operation
  • System implementation experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Able to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must be able to adapt and change to business shifts
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
