National Vice President of Sales, Preferred Warranties, Inc.

PWI?s Vice President of Sales role will be based in the Central or Western US and provides leadership by developing a strategic plan for growth and engagement with dealers in existing markets and new territories as we complete our national expansion. This individual will oversee PWI Sales and Training Teams to lead in the creation of new, and the enhancement of existing, sales initiatives. For an interim period, they will also have direct ownership of sales efforts and sales consultants in new expansion territories (West Coast focused). Responsibilities and Duties:



  • Develop and execute a launch strategy for new markets. Recruit and help train Outside Sales Consultants to drive sales in those markets. Assist with prospecting for large customers and help close sales as needed.

  • Develop an annual strategic sales plan to drive revenue, increase market share and achieve budgeted growth. Establish and communicate monthly revenue goals.

  • Team Leadership ? effective coaching to insure team buy in, understanding, and maintain ongoing support for PWI?s initiatives and business plans, drive team first thinking, promote success as a team as well individually, lead the development and management of a sales team capable of carrying out the Company?s strategies and tactics.?

  • Review and analyze processes, best practices, costs, operations and forecasted data.? Focus on profitable growth opportunities, driving sales initiatives, meeting profit and loss metrics, annual budget and best practice implementation.

  • Develop a channel for good flow of communication between team members.? Model and reinforce the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff in order to create a results-driven, team oriented environment.

  • Manage, monitor and recommend refinement of, as necessary, the Company?s sales compensation program rules, policies, and procedures to ensure that team rewards are aligned with company goals. Ensure sufficient resources are assigned to adequately administer sales compensation programs. Work closely with Accounting, Compensation, and Human Resources to establish rules, policies, and procedures associated with sales compensation.? Oversee sales compensation plan administration; and the development and implementation of incentive tools.

  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends, general sales practices, processes and trends. Make recommendation as appropriate to capitalize on strategic opportunities, or to counter competitor actions. ? ?

  • Provide coaching and support to Sales and Training Leadership teams.? High level management, direction and coordination of workflow of PWI?s Sales and Training Departments. Assess level of coaching and teaching of best practices required to provide the leadership team members with the tools necessary for successful job performance.

  • Liaise with AFC corporate support teams, such as marketing, business development, and legal, to ensure that PWI?s interests are represented and that appropriate support is provided for company initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Educational Requirements and Qualifications:


Four (4) year business degree preferred.? Prior experience in sales leadership as well as the automotive and financial services industry with a focus on vehicle protection products is preferred.? Minimum 10 years experience managing a remote or off site team.? Familiarity with SalesForce.com and/or other customer relationship management tools is preferred.? Proven ability to coach and lead teams while managing projects and budgets. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word, as well as the ability to use the Internet for research purposes.? Excellent presentation, public speaking, interpersonal and large group training skills required.? Strong organizational, time management and follow-up abilities are required. The ability to work in a very fast paced and challenging work environment is essential.? Telephone, computer, standard office equipment.? Motor vehicle operator (required).


Physical and Visual Requirements:


Position requires walking, sitting, and standing.? Position requires significant travel (approximately 80%) via automobile and air to deliver training and/or support to large account clients, Regional Sales Managers, and Outside Sales Consultants. While nationwide travel is expected, heavy West Coast travel should be expected over the next few years as those new markets are brought online.


Environmental - Atmospheric Conditions:


Varying climates, weather conditions, and walking surfaces, inside and outside. Occasional exposure to fumes, odors, gases, compounds or dusts endemic to auto industry. Travel is required and extensive and mode of transportation varies: typically automobile, airplane, or public conveyance.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
