65 an hour This position is responsible for the operation of a department.
An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.
Essential Functions An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
Assists other team members in keeping all work areas clean and orderly.
Counts, identifies, and verifies inbound and outbound freight by identifying the stock keeping unit (SKU) to be processed; and entering information into a computer terminal.
Manages freight flow by defoiling and preparing, transporting, loading, and unloading pallets using powered equipment; placing damages/defective pallets onto a new pallet or slip board to prepare it for the automation process; identifying, counting, separating, and scanning cases; manually placing/removing cases on conveyor system/pallets as needed; and downstacking/moving/removing/loading empty pallets.
Ensures the automation equipment is operating properly by monitoring the flow of cases into the automation system; tending to automated warehouse equipment; correcting freight flow and resetting equipment; interacting and monitoring computer based interfaces of automated equipment; alert and assist an appropriate member of maintenance about any unresolved jams or equipment faults; and following and executing Lockout/Tagout procedures around automation equipment.
Provides basic maintenance to equipment (for example, cleaning, inspecting, tightening fastners).
Entry Requirements Minimum Qualifications 6 months experience in production, manufacturing, distribution, or related field OR 6 months as a Walmart Logistics' associate.
6 months experience in computer applications (for example, email, spreadsheet, word processing) OR 6 months experience in Walmart Logistics applications (for example, Global Logistics System (GLS), Trailer Manifest System (TMS), other related systems) OR 6 months experience in Non-Walmart business applications.
Preferred Qualifications 6 months experience operating robotics/automation equipment in a related field.
